Leasing

Yesterday the Executive Committee voted to sublease 37 of the company’s office/retail sites. Some sites are on the ground floor of high rises in Manhattan, Atlanta and major cities. Others are in strip malls and industrial buildings in suburban locales. One’s a converted muffler shop in East Hartford.

       
 

You want to make an offer to purchase a portfolio of 28 warehouses from a struggling REIT. If the REIT accepts, you’ll need a full spectrum of due diligence services—lease, zoning and environmental review; title policy and endorsement work; contract, warranty, estoppel and contingency removal coordination. If you close, you’ll need form documents and ongoing counsel on brokerage, leasing and other asset and property management issues.
